Ibérica) from the nectar of flowers forming part of the characteristic flora of the region. The geographical area is restricted to the subdistricts of Bragança and Vinhais. According to the specification, the system of production, the conditions of extraction, and the packaging of the product are particular to the area. The link between the product and its territory is attributed to the edaphological-climatic conditions of the park, which restrict the distribution, development, flowering, fruit-bearing, and reproduction of plant species, making pollen production in the various species of vegetation very sensitive and resulting in honey with very homogeneous characteristics. The inspection structure named in the specification is the Associação dos Apicultores do Parque Natural de Montesinho, based in Bragança.
