Pera de Lleida

Pera de Lleida is a protected designation of origin covering fresh pears of the Pyrus communis L. species, restricted to the limonera, blanquilla, and conference varieties, produced in the Lleida plain of Catalonia, Spain. Only fruit meeting quality class Extra or Class I, with a minimum diameter of 60 mm, is eligible. The designation is registered as a PDO under file number ES-PDO-0005-0698-29.05.2008.

Catalan pear IGP from Lleida, multiple varieties (Blanquilla, Conferencia, Limonera). Crisp tender flesh, balanced sweet-tart flavor.
