Macedonian saffron POP from Kozani area, Greek crocus cultivation. Long deep-red thread-like stigmas, intensely aromatic with characteristic floral-honey-hay notes — competes with Spanish Mancha and Italian L'Aquila as Europe's premier saffron.

Premium saffron applications — in Greek paella variants, in Cretan-Sephardic preparations, in pastry (saffron-honey ice cream), in tea infusions.
