Arancia di Ribera

Arancia di Ribera is an Italian PDO registered on 7 January 2008 (file PDO-IT-0669) covering fresh navel oranges grown in the Ribera zone of Agrigento province, Sicily. The designation applies to the Brasiliano, Washington Navel, and Navelina varieties and their clones, released for consumption only in commercial categories Extra and I. The Consorzio di Tutela Arancia di Ribera DOP is the applicant group.
Tasting notes
Sicilian Washington Navel orange from Ribera area (Agrigento). Large bright-orange fruit, very juicy, distinctively sweet (low acidity), seedless, easy-peel — among Italy's premier eating oranges.
