Kiwi Latina

Kiwi Latina is a fresh kiwifruit registered under PGI (file number PGI-IT-0295, EU protection granted 5 June 2003), produced in the Latina plain of Lazio, Italy. The designation covers Actinidia deliciosa cv. Hayward fruit only, supplied fresh to the consumer in two commercial classes — Extra Class (over 90 g) and Class I (over 80 g) — with a minimum maturity of 6.2 °Brix at harvest.

Tasting notes

Lazio kiwi from Latina province, Hayward variety predominant. Brown fuzzy skin, bright green flesh with black seeds, balanced sweet-tart flavor, characteristic tropical aroma; Italy is a leading EU kiwi producer.

HoReCa use

Fresh fruit service, fruit salad, smoothies, garnish for desserts, in pavlova, jam.
