Pera mantovana
Also known as: Pera di Mantova
Pera Mantovana is a fresh pear registered as a PGI on 21 January 1998 under file number PGI-IT-1533. The designation covers pears of the varieties William, Max Red Bartlett, Conference, Decana del Comizio, Abate Fetel, and Kaiser, grown using non-intensive methods within a defined continuous area of the province of Mantua, principally the Oltrepò mantovano. The applicant group was the Consorzio Pera Tipica Mantovana.
