Batata Doce de Aljezur

Batata doce de Aljezur is a fresh sweet potato of the Lira variety (Ipomoea batatas (L.)), registered as a PGI on 3 January 2005 under file number PGI-PT-0517 (eAmbrosia: EUGI00000013777). Production is confined to the Aljezur area of western Algarve, Portugal. The tuber has purple or reddish-brown skin, yellow flesh, and a weight of between 50 and 450 g. The specification permits no other variety.

HoReCa use
