Maracujá dos Açores is a PDO-protected fresh passion fruit, registered under file number PDO-PT-0270 on 21 June 1996 (eAmbrosia identifier EUGI00000013105). The designation covers fruit of the species Passiflora edulis Sims grown on the island of S. Miguel in the Azores archipelago. The specification names two protected designations: Maracujá dos Açores and S. Miguel. The Comissão Técnica de Controlo e Certificação is the designated inspection body.
