The story
Catalonia keeps two larders — the sea and the mountain — and refuses to choose between them. An anchovy cured for a year and a sausage dried in the cold of Osona sit on the same table, with an oil from the south and a bottle from the Penedès between them. The box is deliberately long: this is a region that eats in many small courses.
